Alright, my Fellow Oregonians, gather round the campfire. You know, the one you're paying for with your property taxes.
You work the shift in Springfield, you run the shop in Grants Pass, you pay your PGE bill on time in Medford. Congrats. You just became the platinum sponsor of Oregon Health Plan's VIP lounge, and they forgot to put your name on the wall.
Remember 2021? Kate Brown signed HB3352, "Cover All People." Sounds warm and fuzzy. What it meant was simple, meet the income line, and Salem doesn't care about your citizenship papers anymore. July 1, 2023, they flipped the switch. Full OHP. No premium. No copay. No deductible. Zero, zip, nada.
Then this May, Tina Kotek did her encore. HB4127, state cash to keep reproductive clinics paid when Washington DC gets squeamish. HB4088 , Oregon plants its flag as the sanctuary state for every gender affirming procedure in the book, laser hair removal, hormones for life, puberty blockers, face sculpting, voice surgery, top surgery, bottom surgery, body contouring. All of it. All on your tab.
And yeah, you heard right, you can carry that nice private insurance from work and still keep OHP in your back pocket. OHP just scoots in behind it and pays your copays and deductibles. That's the trick.
So you get the $700 ambulance bill and you pay it. They get the ambulance, free. You pay $120 every three months for your kid's contacts. They get the exam, the frames, the contacts, free. You pay half for a crown and wince. They get the crown, the implant, the braces, the laughing gas, free.
Oh, and the housing perk, because why stop at healthcare? OHP's HRSN program will now write the rent check for up to six months, cover the lights, the water, the storage unit, throw in some grab bars and a pest guy for good measure. You miss a rent payment? Late fee. They miss one? Salem says "we got you."
I'm not here to tell you people shouldn't get care. I'm here to tell you that you, Oregonian, are the one getting played. You're the logger told to cut back, the nurse told to pick up extra shifts, the retiree told to budget better, while the Capitol hands out "free" like it's candy at the State Fair and mails you the invoice.
They call it equity. I call it a forced subscription to someone else's benefits package, and it auto renews every tax season whether you clicked agree or not.
You were promised the Oregon dream. What you got was the Oregon bill, free birth control, free abortions, free transplants, free MRIs, free gender surgeries, free rehab, free chiro, free acupuncture, free weight loss clinics all wrapped in that magic Salem phrase "medically necessary." Your insurance calls it elective and bills you five grand. OHP calls it necessary and bills you anyway, just through the Department of Revenue.
So next time you're in the ER waiting room staring at a bill that looks like a mortgage, remember how they fixed healthcare in Salem. They didn't lower costs. They just moved the costs onto you.
Wake up, Oregon. This isn't a state government anymore. It's a GoFundMe with a flag, and you never got the opt-out button. 🇺🇸 🐺

@GarandThumb1 The General Dynamics rifle should have won the NGSW competition. A new Manual of arms is nothing compared to a new Manual of Tactics due to the smaller number of rounds carried by each soldier. It was a shortsighted decision to go with the Sig. IMO
@GarandThumb1 Still waiting on it myself! They announced the civilian version like 5 yrs ago (the genesis) and I'm ready to sell something big to go get one!
Let the depravity of this sink in as you consider your health😣
“The spike protein your body produces after the shot is so similar to the myelin sheath that protects your nerves… that your own helper T-cells (CD4+) can get confused and start attacking your nervous system…
Your immune system turns against you.‼️‼️‼️
…by the very injection they called “safe and effective.” They documented the mechanism.
They published it.
And they still pushed the shots on the entire population.” 🔥🔥🔥
@SenAdamSchiff You🫵
Are far more dangerous to the people of this country than any weapon.
If you had your way, we would be under a murderous dictator right now with no way to defend ourselves
@megbasham Dude is a great actor
Saw him first inl SHANGHAI NOON with Jackie Chan...didnt known that was him till I went back and watched years later after seeing him in Antman 2, Fatman, and Justified
@oregonducksmama Argggggggg
For decades Oregon has been on the forefront of bowhunting technology
I'm convinced Tina wants everyone out of the woods so her Cartel Comrades can grow Marijuana unhindered
@TinaKotek You mean you are making progress
1. making Oregonians poor and dependent on federal money
2. Raising our energy cost while making it unreliable
3. Putting billions of pounds of CO2 into the air using wildfire instead of responsible forest management
@mccannon15@TonyAielloJr What's the population of OKC?
The NBA needs a NW geographical presence...really with 2 teams...
Seattle is gonna get an expansion I believe so there still needs to be 1 more here for the future
@Jameskibsworth@LarsLarsonShow Well then Mayne the NBA aught to chip in! What exactly is the NBA requiring of the facility?
Blame should go to the "regulator"
@LeftSideTremors@kat_portland@LarsLarsonShow A 2-3 billion dollar building shouldn't need to be refurbished every decade without an earthquake or other geological problem. This is an NBA optics issue more than anything.
