@SaintJackington I think the funniest thing I remember hearing while I was working in film and tv was the line “Nah man I’m heaps cultured I’ve seen Parasite” and now I can’t look at that film the same
List of female content creators they could have reached out too. These are just who I’m aware of.
@carltonbesties (Blues) @kangatvshow (North) @PollyPorridge (Swans) Tiffany Krylov (Magpies), Footy Chat With Leanne (Tigers), Jess Waterhouse (Crows), @marnievinall (Dons)
@marnievinall@mitchellnash92@carltonbesties@kangatvshow@PollyPorridge Yeah look that’s more on me not knowing many in the Essendon space. I just put Marnie in that grouping because I’d considering some of her previous projects as content creation and she is someone I believe would do well in an AFL debate
This response to people who advocate for women in any way is bizarre to me.
All you’ve done here is show me you believe the only reason to be a decent person is for some kind of gratification rather than doing or saying something just because you believe in it. Scary behaviour.
sorry but “just do their own version” is such a terrible response. why do we need to do our own version? so we can be told that what we think is wrong or we don’t know what we are talking about? that we copied the idea?
we already deal with that on the daily.
I hate the discourse around needed increased diversity just for the sake of it and not for all the benefits it provides to EVERYONE involved. More voices from marginalised communities and minorities are needed for so many reasons.
@MightySwom@carltonbesties@PollyPorridge@marnievinall Thank you! I was actually invited to attend but I’m interstate for work 🫶☺️ plenty of talent people on the room yesterday and hope to be part of the next one !!
There isn’t a push for more women’s voices in sport to just tick some box. Women’s voices are interesting, clever, fun and often present very different viewpoints that’s of service to fans/viewers.
The last two weeks have taught me that @thefootywithbro was the best AFL content because Broden, @ThomasZahariou and best journalist in the game @marnievinall were capable of being funny, informative, and inclusive of everyone (pies fans excluded, Broden was doing something).
@marnievinall@thefootywithbro@ThomasZahariou I understand completely why you guys needed to step away, you three spin a lot of very important plates but man…..these streets need some heroes.
It’s a good point. I guess women don’t watch the AFL and wouldn’t be able to add a different or interesting perspective in a debate unless it was about the AFLW. You got me. I’m defeated. I will rue the day.
Im certain I have missed plenty of notable creators across all 18 clubs. But if I can rattle off several with only a vague knowledge of who else is out there then anyone can.
