Just realized my “engagement hangover” migraines aren’t from champagne 🥂
It’s caffeine withdrawal + migraine postdrome tag-teaming my brain.
3 coffees/day during planning → 0 coffee after = 12hr migraine delay.
Keep caffeine steady around big events. Your brain hates the swings.
It was caffeine withdrawal hitting at the same time as migraine postdrome.
Big events = extra coffee → sudden stop → brain revolt.
Steady caffeine > no caffeine.

Why I started tracking my headaches (and why it actually helped me)
Like many of you, I spent way too much time guessing whether a headache was just a "stress headache" or the start of a full-blown migraine. I realized that my own lack of data made it impossible for my doctor to really help me, because I could never remember exactly how often they were happening or what might have triggered them.
I started keeping a headache diary, and it completely changed the game for me. It forced me to look at things I was ignoring like how atmospheric pressure or my sleep patterns were secretly running the show.
For those of you trying to get a handle on this, here is a quick breakdown of what I learned to look for:
The "Band" vs. The "Pulse": Tension headaches usually feel like a tight band around my head, while migraines are almost always pulsing/throbbing on one side.
The "Sensitivity" Factor: If light, sound, or movement suddenly makes me want to hide in a dark closet, that’s a huge indicator it’s a migraine.
The Environment: Tracking things like barometric pressure made a massive difference in identifying my specific triggers.
I ended up building Migraine Trail tool for myself to make this easier. I wanted something that used voice logging so I didn't have to struggle with typing when I’m in pain. It’s been a massive help in getting clear data to bring to my appointments.
Has anyone else here noticed a specific trigger that finally gave them that "aha!" moment when they started tracking? I’m curious to hear what patterns other people have found.

Things people with migraine are tired of hearing
❌ “Drink more water.”
❌ “It’s just stress.”
❌ “Take a painkiller.”
❌ “Everyone gets headaches.”
Migraine is a complex neurological condition
