That number has stood around 14,500 for 2 weeks as border officials continue to encounter more than 400 unaccompanied minors daily.
Nearly 1,000 unaccompanied children were in Border Patrol facilities this AM.
38-year-old Sebastian Francisco Perez was moving irrigation lines during Oregon's June heatwave when he died.
This tragedy could have been prevented. Sebastian should still be with his family today.
