@Joseph20102011 @nick_adobo I didn't say anything abt wanting to learn Spanish what I was calling out were Filipinos who revise our history and culture and desire to be spaniard or latino, if u wanna learn Spanish then go for it but our identity remains rooted within this archipelago.

And yeah, public education became mandatory but how does that make us have spanish ancestry? English is the language of education now, are we now British 🇬🇧?

@nick_adobo @Joseph20102011 I said the Timorese don't claim to be Portuguese, just bc they're many groups united by Portugal, more catholic, and speak Portuguese. They're proud of their identity. I did not ask for a comparison of money and national dishes (which are all of native origin btw!)
