This is how it works:
- Things in your name are liable to be seized.
- Company A owns the cars.
- Company B contracts lease from company A.
- Tate bros then “rent” those cars (that they “don’t” own) from Company B.

In addition to protecting those assets from seizure - by creating a structure like this, it also prevents said assets from being included in personal net worth… which means bail gets set at a lower rate.

The letter to Flock Safety's CEO:

Hawley is demanding documents on data access, camera placement, contracts with local governments, investors, and every known case of misuse since 2021.
