"Monsters: For nearly two decades, we've known and loved each other. You've been with me and my music through so many twists and turns. Whether I'm writing about the chaos of disease, witches casting spells in a nightclub, waking up as a zombie after being bitten on the dance floor, the strange way fame can feel like having a clone, or disappearing into pop oblivion with the person you love—you've always reminded me that I can be exactly who I want to be. Because when I looked out into the crowd, you were always exactly who you wanted to be. In all the ways we didn't know who we were back then, we've been finding ourselves together.
