@HavicHardware @Anjyoun @dosdude1 You don't have to send it in. Just remove one transistor and you're good to go. I did that and it's fairly easy.

@Anjyoun Still using my MBP 15" from 2011. Logic board died, Apple replaced then it died again. I tried modifying kexts via Arch Linux before the boot process. It was cumbersome and didn't last long enough to be worth it. Then I removed one little transistor and now it works flawlessly!
