📌Türkiye genelinde daha verimli kaynak ve atık yönetimine katkıda bulunan döngüsel ekonomiye geçiş teşvik edilecek,

📌AB Döngüsel Ekonomi Modeli doğrultusunda Türkiye’nin döngüsel ekonomiye geçişte kurumsal ve teknik kapasitesi güçlendirilecek,

📌Sıfır Atık Projesi daha da ileri aşamaya evrilecek.

Döngüsel Ekonomide Entegre Atık Yönetimi Eğitimi – Eğitim, ilk gününde 200’den fazla katılımcı ile büyük bir ilgi ile başladı! 🌟

DEEP Projesi Takım Lideri Sn. Mihail Dimovski, açılış konuşmasında Türkiye'nin döngüsel ekonomiye geçiş sürecine vurgu yaptı. 2,5 yıl önce büyük bir inanç ve heyecanla başlayan DEEP Projesi’nin, Türkiye'nin AB uyum sürecinde çevresel ve ekonomik gelişimine nasıl katkı sağladığını anlattı. 🌍♻️

Konuşmasında, mevzuatın yanı sıra, Sektörel Etki Analizi, Düzenleyici Etki Analizi, ve Yaşam Döngüsü Analizi çalışmalarının önemine de değinerek, döngüsel ekonominin geniş kapsamını vurguladı. Bu süreç, hammadde çıkarımından atık yönetimine kadar birçok alanı kapsıyor.

Dimovski, ‘’Bu çalışmalar, Türkiye'nin hem ekonomik hem de çevresel açıdan dünya üzerindeki benzersiz konumunun korunması ve geliştirilmesine katkı sağlamayı hedefliyor. Within the scope of harmonisation with the circular economy concept, we are starting to work on the preparation of a guideline for the separate collection of waste, which includes models suitable for the conditions of our country.

The Guideline will cover collection systems for all types of recyclable municipal waste under the responsibility of local governments, including non-packaging recyclables such as packaging waste, waste electrical and electronic equipment, construction and demolition waste, etc., and will be prepared in line with the Zero Waste Regulation and other waste legislation of Türkiye.

Landfill tax is one of the economic instruments used effectively in waste management within the scope of Circular Economy in many countries of the world.

Landfill taxes are one of the systems applied to reduce and restrict the landfilling of waste. In common examples, the taxpayers are the operators of landfill facilities or local authorities.

Common use of the implementation is based on ensuring the establishment of a system that will prevent recyclable waste ending up in landfills by taxing the landfill services. Currently, landfill taxes are in place in 22 EU countries, in addition to landfill restrictions for some waste streams.

According to the data from the European Environment Agency, the amount of waste going to landfill has significantly decreased in countries where landfill tax are applied with the amounts ranging from 5 to 115 Euros across the EU.

The vision of the National Circular Economy Strategy Action Plan is to disseminate a circular economy model specific to our country that extends product life, reduces raw material use and waste generation.

Within the scope of the plan, 7 priority sectors have been identified. With the implementation of the plan, it is aimed to increase circularity in the Plastics, Packaging, Textile, Biomass and Food, Electronics and ICT, Battery and Vehicles, and Construction and Building sectors.

With the implementation of the plan;
🔵Sustainability of future generations, nature, environment and biodiversity will be protected,
🔵Climate change will be combated through the mitigation of greenhouse gases,
🔵International and national sustainable development and climate change goals will be achieved,
🔵Economic welfare will increase through efficient/sustainable management of limited primary resources,
🔵By reducing waste generation and imports, gain will be achieved by gaining value by reusing the wastes generated,
🔵New business models will be developed with a cost-effective approach,
🔵Trade integration with the EU will be ensured by strengthening international competitiveness and exports,
🔵Raw material imports and current account deficit will decrease,
🔵Longer lasting products will be produced with less raw materials and better design,
🔵Ensure that materials that are safe for human health and the environment are included in the product cycle.
