CNN took four clips from different parts of an hour long speech and joined them together IN A DIFFERENT ORDER THAN THEY WERE SAID for maximum dramatic effect.

It's obviously common practice to cut down a speech. It's not common practice to mix and match the order of the clips in an attempt to paint a story and that's exactly what CNN did here with Trump's speech.

Eight out of ten Americans want term limits for Congress. Left, right, independent, it does not matter. Everybody agrees the same faces should not sit in those seats forever. So why does Washington still look like a retirement home with better parking?

Because the only way to change it is a constitutional amendment, and the people who have to vote for that amendment are the same people it would send home. In 1995 the Supreme Court told the states they could not do it themselves. Congress has never come close to the two-thirds vote it would take. Meanwhile House members who run again win over 90 percent of the time. Name on the ballot, money in the bank, staff on the payroll. Voters hate Congress and keep reelecting their own guy.

That is not a glitch. That is the system protecting itself. Elections were supposed to be the term limits. They stopped working that way a long time ago.
