Jacobs tried to spin the narrative that the U.S. is losing in Iran, but Rubio instantly exposed the fatal flaws in her argument.

You created the Judgment Fund in 1956. You expanded it in 1961 to cover settlements. And in 1977 you got together in your infinite wisdom and removed every single cap, turning it into a permanent, indefinite, unlimited blank-check appropriation for the DOJ. No annual vote. No real oversight. Just an open spigot of taxpayer money both parties have been happily drinking from for nearly fifty years.

Then Trump settles his IRS tax-leak case, DOJ puts a “1776 Fund” label on a slice of that same giant pot you created, and suddenly everyone loses their minds. Democrats scream “new unconstitutional J6 slush fund!” Republicans have a collective panic attack so severe that John Thune kills the ICE and CBP funding bill and sends the whole chamber home.

You built the machine. You protected it. You benefited from it. And now you’re pretending it’s some shocking new scandal invented by Trump?

Spare us.

Memo to every single one of you: You wrote the law, idiots. Own it, reform it, or shut up about it. But stop torching the budget process and running away from your own creation like it’s radioactive.

In 1991, Larry Trapp — the Grand Dragon of the Nebraska Ku Klux Klan — began terrorizing a Jewish family who had just moved to Lincoln.

He sent them death threats, anti-Semitic pamphlets, and neo-Nazi literature, then followed up with chilling phone calls: “You’ll be sorry you ever moved to Nebraska. Your days are numbered.”

The father, Michael Weisser, was a cantor who led prayers at the local synagogue. Instead of calling the police or hiding, he started calling Trapp back.

He left calm, compassionate messages on Trapp’s answering machine:

“Larry, you must be a very unhappy man. There’s a lot of love out there for you if you want it.”

“Why do you have to live this way? It doesn’t have to be like this.”

He kept calling for three weeks.

One day, Trapp finally picked up, furious and venomous. Weisser didn’t flinch. “I know you’re very sick, Larry,” he said gently. “I thought maybe you needed a ride to the doctor.”

There was a long silence.

“How do you know I’m sick?”

By then, Weisser had learned the truth: Trapp was 44, severely diabetic, had both legs amputated, and was rapidly going blind. He lived completely alone in a small, filthy apartment, isolated except for the hate network that had defined his life for over 20 years.

One November evening, Michael and his wife Julie showed up at Trapp’s door unannounced with a homemade dinner. The walls were covered in swastikas and KKK banners. Trapp let them in anyway.

They shared a meal. No debates, no arguments — just human kindness. Trapp broke down in tears. That night, he renounced the Klan, called his contacts to resign, and began tearing down the symbols of hate that had filled his life.

In the months that followed, Larry Trapp converted to Judaism — the faith of the family he had threatened.

He personally apologized to the people he had terrorized. When his health failed, the Weissers moved him into their home.

Their children grew up eating breakfast with the man who once sent them death threats.

Larry Trapp died in September 1992 — less than a year after that first dinner — cared for in a Jewish home by a Jewish family.

As Weisser later said, he simply saw a suffering man beneath the hatred and refused to become the enemy hate demanded.

One phone call. A few gentle messages. A pot of food. And the stubborn refusal to meet hatred with hatred.

That was enough to transform a man the world had written off.
