I’m Mike and I’m running for the Ward 8 Council. I’m a Washingtonian, attorney, & former ANC Chair. We’ve seen the impact of politicians putting their pockets above the people while families are being pushed out vs. lifted up. I’m running because it’s time we Get It Right ✅

Big news for DC! 🌉✨ @DCBridgePark has secured its construction permit from the DC Department of Buildings. DDOT will solicit a general contractor next month.
One step closer to making the Park a reality. Onward!
Jesse Jackson was certainly a national figure, but he was also actively involved in the fight for D.C. statehood and autonomy. (H/t to @councilofdc for breaking out the historic campaign pin today.)
Sad local news: Longtime D.C. religious leader and civic activist Graylan Hagler has passed away, per his church. He was active in local politics; he ran for D.C. Council and was frequently lobbying lawmakers for progressive causes. He was a force. RIP.
