@TommyJaggi i dont think the video really lines up with your statement. i see several plays there where he is plenty open enough if a pass were thrown his way
A decade ago, the argument that you should work in AI to ensure that it is developed safely made sense. It was a far off, hypothetical thing. But if you are working at a frontier lab, and you think there is any chance that what you're building could wipe out humanity, you should just ... stop. I'm not saying I am convinced that current AI models are going to lead to human extinction. But if I believed there was even a slight possibility, there's no way I would help build that thing. We understand so little about how neural networks operate and there seems to be zero chance of a breakthrough in interpretability any time soon. Sot it makes sense to me when people like @hilbertspaess resign. You can disagree with his conclusion on the risk, but you cannot argue with the morality of his actions.
Kawhi Leonard’s legacy with the Los Angeles Clippers:
- Demanded the front office trade for Paul George, forcing them to part with every asset they had including a young Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Missed 243 games in 7 seasons (equivalent of nearly 3 seasons)
- 2019-2020: Blew a 3-1 lead in Western Conference Semi-Finals
- 2020-2021: Clippers reach Western Conference Finals without him
- 2021-2022: Missed playoffs
- 2022-2023: Eliminated in the first round and didn’t finish the series
- 2023-2024: Eliminated in the first round
- 2024-2025: Eliminated in the first round
- 2025-2026: Missed the playoffs, locked up by Draymond Green with the season on the line
- Played just 35 playoff games
- No championships
- No personal Conference Finals appearances
- Demanded the front office continue retooling around him, causing them to trade for James Harden and depart with even more draft capital
- Collected nearly $350 million in salary
- Circumvented the salary cap
- Cost the Clippers a further 5 first round picks
- Inflicted a $30 million fine
- Inflicted suspensions on ownership and front office with no pay
- A personal $700,000 fine
- Had his uncle Dennis banned for life
Possibly the worst free agent signing in league history.
@PaulZeise@MarkMaddenX what a giant waste of time to focus so much of your attention on this. life is short. you have a choice every day on what kind of energy you want to put out into the world, positive or negative. here i am commenting so i guess not much better. maybe we should all get off this app
@mcuban@sciam Ok if you were put in charge to change our healthcare system at the federal level, what specifically would be your solutions to drive down costs?
@JoshYohe_PGH big fan and love your perspective/generally optimistic outlook in your writing but you are starting to sound like every old Pittsburgh Boomer writer. Negative spin on everything, cynical, sounding miserable. Control what you can control and maybe get off this app more often
Rep. Neguse: “The man in that video, the one…allegedly yelling 'kill em' at police officers on Jan. 6. His name is Jared Wise."
Bondi: "He does work for us."
Neguse: "This is who you choose…to hire at DOJ?"
Bondi: "I believe he was pardoned by President Trump."
