The year is 2035.
Blizzcon has moved from the Anaheim Convention Center to The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The "Arena World Championship" has been rebranded.
On stage is Cdew, Mitchjones, Snutzmoney, and Bean - one win away from making a 0-3 comeback against Echo in the slot machine grand finals.
"Yo chat where we going?" asks Mitchjones, struggling to spell "Phoenix" in the search bar.
"Melons could print," answers Bean, taking his shirt off on stage.
The camera pans to Cdew, 50 years old, father of 15 children - looking to buy a microwave to feed his family and to solidify the greatest Cinderella story in bonus hunt history.
He turns to Bean, remembering their run in Blizzcon 2016, where Prot Paladin played a key role in the meta, and then shifts his gaze to captain Snutzmoney.
"I know what you like," says Snutzmoney, tipping his pirate hat.
"I like tanks," replies Cdew, placing his finger over the GOD MODE bonus buy one more time.
It is with heavy hearts that we share that Haru Urara passed away on September 9.
The legendary racehorse's legacy serves as the inspiration for the character of the same name in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
We share our condolences to all the staff involved in Haru Urara's care.
Very sad news this morning that Haru Urara has passed away due to colic.
Japan’s beloved “underdog” became a national icon, racing 113 times without a single victory, yet winning something far greater - the hearts of millions.
Foaled in 1996 and trained by Dai Muneishi, Haru Urara’s story captured the nation during the early 2000s when Japan was facing economic struggles. Her endless losing streak sparked the famous “Haru Urara Boom”, with fans flooding Kochi Racecourse just to cheer her on. In March 2004, over 13,000 people came to watch her 106th start, ridden by superstar jockey Yutaka Take. She didn’t win that day either - but the crowd roared as if she had.
Haru Urara symbolised resilience, hope, and never giving up. Fans even turned her losing betting tickets into good-luck charms, and she became a cultural phenomenon, inspiring songs, films, and even her own character in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.
She may not have crossed the finish line first, but she showed the world that true victory comes from courage, perseverance, and heart. Her legacy will live on forever, and she will always be remembered as Japan’s eternal heroine.
Run free, Haru Urara.
