@APPG_VGP @DHSCgovuk We know shielding affects mental health. But it was advice and you didn't have to shield if you didn't want to. Lifting shielding before the 2nd dose means many CEV people will have NO CHOICE but to return to work and risk infection. Lifting shielding also affects mental health.

Is this a bad April Fools day joke?
CEV were previously told to shield EVEN if they have had both doses. Now shielding is ending on 1st April, but most CEV will only have had 1 dose by then? Why?

16th Feb - CEV to shield until 31st March even if they have had both doses of vaccine.
22nd Feb - Basically no shielding after March?
Why relax the advice now?
Please shield the CEV until after their 2nd dose.

@Peston Is Parliamentary approval of lockdown required? At 50k cases/day why delay lockdown until Thursday just for parliament to rubber stamp what needs to happen tonight. The longer we wait the longer we will have to lockdown and the more people will be infected and die. Lockdown NOW

Vaccine news is fantastic!
However, please extend #shielding nationwide until the CEV are actually vaccinated. It makes no sense at all to risk their lives now the end is in sight.

CEV to stay home if they can't work from home. However offering them only ESA/SSP means CEV Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Carers and other workers cannot financially #SHIELD themselves. They need #furlough

@GOVUK @PHE_uk @APPG_VGP This is a freedom of information request. According to your published statistics 2240 people have died of Covid in the UK since #shielding was paused on 1st August. Please can you confirm how many of these 2240 people were on the Shielded Patient List.
