Shaped Charge Mic Theory Visual Representation

This is an actual scale visual representation of what a 0.5 gram PETN based shaped charge would look like inside of a Rode Wireless Go Mic. It excludes any built in standoff. It's simply the explosive.

A detonation is more or less defined as a near instantaneous change from a solid state to a gas state. That change is what is observed as the explosion.

When PETN detonates at over 8k meters per second, at a tempeture of 4,230 °C, it lets off an enormous amount of gas (0.0352 mol gas/g PETN).

This means that tiny little 0.5 grams of PETN would have immediate gas expansion to a space of roughly 400 cubic inches.

Anyone who tells you the microphone would be left even partially intact is a liar.

This would also create a hole in Charlie Kirk's shirt roughly the size of the mic itself.

Videos such as this lack context. There was likely stored explosives in this location causing secondary/sympathetic detonations which caused further damage. Weird we haven't seen a single reporter in Gaza describe the above when we know Israeli's have struck these targets.
