El Niño is arriving on our doorstep in the coming months with 90% certainty.
The world must treat it as the urgent climate warning it is.
The only effective response is #ClimateAction equal to the crisis – ending the addiction to fossil fuels, accelerating the shift to renewables, protecting the most vulnerable, and delivering early warning systems for all.

Exclusive from @carolewalkercw:
Nigel Farage says that last night's violent disorder in Southampton is 'just the beginning'
He tells @TimesRadio that 'the division will get far worse because 'large numbers of young white males think the police are prejudiced against them
'The division will get far worse. What you saw in Southampton last night is the beginning
'If we get large numbers of young white males who think the police are prejudiced against them, goodness knows where we go. This has to end'
And this is Farage on saying people should feel 'pure rage': 'I used that term very, very deliberately. Was I angry watching what had happened? Yeah, I bet you were too. Millions of us were
'In fact, it's hard to be a human being and not be angry watching it. But I suggested that rage was put in a cold way, not a hot way'
Watch Keir Starmer call out Nigel Farage over his response to the Henry Nowak murder:
"He pretends to have respect for Henry's family & then acts in this way... his response has been to appeal for rage... it shows exactly who he is."

I genuinely think a lot of millennials are reaching the same conclusion at the same time.
We grew up watching technology make life better every year. Cell phones. iPods. Smartphones. An app for everything. It felt like the future was arriving right in front of us, and we couldn’t wait for what came next.
Then somewhere along the way, it changed.
Everything became a subscription. Social media became algorithms. Every day feels like another once-in-a-lifetime event. The things that were supposed to save us time somehow ended up demanding more of our attention than ever.
We were sold convenience.
What we got was a world that feels faster, louder, more expensive, and somehow less human.
And that’s why so many people I know dream about a completely different life now. Not more technology. Not more optimization.
Just a quiet job, a flip phone, a small town, and a place where life feels real again.
Most people completely underestimate the insane, inhumane scale of the war in Ukraine.
According to the Uppsala Conflict Data Program, the siege of Mariupol alone saw between 27,000 and 88,000 deaths in only three (3!) months.
Read that again and let it sink in
This is what elite, world-class investigative journalism looks like:
Carole Cadwalladr and her team at The Nerve have forensically stripped the mask off the British political establishment.
The pattern they found in The Harborne Receipts is nothing short of terrifying. Millions of pounds flow from a crypto-billionaire into the pockets of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, and like clockwork, weeks later, those exact politicians start pushing laws to benefit the crypto industry.
It is the exact same playbook Donald Trump used in America. It is cash-for-policy, clear as day.
While the billionaire-owned press tries to distract us with culture wars and theatre, true journalists follow the money.
This is the toxic soil that is destroying our democracy from within.
Absolute honour to see her back in action!
I’m a climate scientist. Let me fix this headline.
“Nearly a century ago, scientists showed that burning fossil fuels warms the planet.*
Today, we know human emissions account for over 100% of the warming.**
Yet dark money and disinformation still work to keep Americans addicted to fossil fuels.”***
* in 1937, Guy Callendar published a paper showing that the world had already warmed over the last 50 years due to human emissions what he called “carbonic acid“ – what we now call CO2 – from burning fossil fuels
** If you are wondering, “how could humans be causing more than 100% of the warming?”
— it’s because, according to natural factors, the earth should be cooling right now.
So our emissions are offsetting that cooling AND causing all of the observed warming.

1) Arne deserved a proper send off
2) He was so dignified and led us through the tragedy of diogo Jota's death. It must have been so challenging
3) If they knew he was likely to go, why didn't they move for Alonso before he went to Chelsea?
Thank you Arne YNWA 💙
I genuinely don’t think people understand how insane this is.
In just 50 years, we’ve wiped out around 70% of animal populations on Earth.
Not hundreds of years ago.
Not ancient history.
In one lifetime.
Entire species disappearing.
Forests going silent.
Oceans being emptied.
And somehow the world treats it like just another statistic instead of a full-blown emergency.
That should scare all of us a lot more than it does.
I am absolutely convinced that if we spent even a small part of our lives being more curious and awestruck by animals and nature instead of being so self-absorbed as a species, we would spend far more time trying to save this planet.
Locker room banter is what trump said when he was caught describing sexual assault.
Reform are entering British trump territory. We absolutely cannot let it happen here
Update: A Reform UK spokesman says Kenyon's comments about women driving were "locker room banter made more than a decade ago"
"We simply don't care about establishment hit jobs. We fully back Rob and are confident he will be an excellent MP for Makerfield"
