For Christmas in 1991 I got 3 CDs: Nirvana-Nevermind; Skid Row-Slave to the Grind; and Michael Jackson-Dangerous. 25 years later that's still a pretty good representation of my taste.
I remember I was 10 or 11 and an older kid - a family friend - got me into Bark at the Moon. I shredded my jeans, wetted down my hair, and immediately got put on restriction. I've been into heavy music ever since. RIP Ozzy.
St. Vincent is singing way behind the beat. She did it a bit with Lithium before, but that song was more forgiving. Kurt sang with rhythm, right on top of the beat. This style is not an improvement. Bummer.
