@notheydontcare Eh...
Many standardized tests are IQ based, whereas a well-designed classroom rewards hard work alongside intelligence.
I give hard-working students a chance to overcome their genetics. Ask any employer and they will affirm that hard work >>>>>> intelligence.
@clinthdavis@WVPitt lol maybe so - however, most of the mass market stuff are activities with lots of random and no major choices; they feel like they happen to you
I bet I could pick one that you'd enjoy....maybe lol
@marcrarnone@MarvelTeacher2 One was a revamp of my AP Bio curriculum; one was for AP Environmental; the third for a microbiology class specific to a dental hygeine program.

@marcrarnone@MarvelTeacher2 Oh yeah. I just finished my 14th year. During the year I created 3 full curriculums (including one college course) and I probably worked at home less than 10 hours. (mainly shooting videos)
As a first year teacher, I had nowhere near that kind of work capacity. It came with time
@daletruman@MarvelTeacher2 I choose not to. There are many times where I definitely could take it home. I just don't.
I've never been asked to work at home.
@moneyandthangs@MarvelTeacher2 Agreed - especially in the high school. When I hear of a student mistreating a female teacher, I always ask the student, "Please start treating me like you treat Ms. ________"
Several times that female teacher has ended the day with a student personally apologizing.
@Donaldtfoster@MarvelTeacher2 Yeah it's not too bad. I am constantly trying to improve myself so I never rest or "phone it in" - I want to be the best at what I do.
