Tyler Watts, 17, is another name to know among this stacked crop of juniors. He’s making his PGA TOUR debut this week, and will walk off the golf course in the top 25 after shooting 70-70.
He’s tied with Collin Morikawa and ahead of Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas.
Earlier this year, Watts broke Rickie Fowler’s record as the youngest winner of the prestigious Sunnehanna Amateur and was runner-up in the North & South Amateur at Pinehurst. He was runner-up in last year’s U.S. Junior.
Along with names like Miles Russell, U.S. Amateur champ Mason Howell, Canadian Amateur champ Tyler Mahwinney (who made the cut in this year’s RBC Canadian Open) and Luke Colton, there’s plenty of talent among players currently in high school.
In an effort to create more playing opportunities for our international members, @PGATOUR pro @ctpangolf commits to hosting the first International Pathway Series event in his home country.👏
