I recently moved (still in Albany) and am now directly across from my new parish. As a Catholic, I should not complain about my own church, but they ring the bells at 57 minutes past the hour (not on the hour) all day long. I thought that I would enjoy it, but it is really pissing me off.

The priest said it deters vandalism, but all it does is make a slightly offensive noise. Ring the bells 10 minutes before Mass, sure, but not ALL FREAKING DAY! Now I need a stiff drink to calm down!
