One of these rich dudes invested in a food company with all proceeds going to kids in need. The other started Sundance Institute, boosting the lives of countless artists. Hey modern rich dudes, don't be a typical greedy AI crypto-prick, be like these two.

***ANNOUNCEMENT***
Now available to order on Blu-ray and shipping later this month in the US from @VinegarSyndrome and @ocndistro#PartnerLabel@EnjoytherideRES: #WatchThemComeBlood (2022)!
Evoking the spirit of ’80s grindhouse cinema, Watch Them Come Blood initially focuses on a group of road tripping friends trailing after a public pervert who leads them to a very peculiar brothel… until a few other players are thrown into the mix. Co-scripted by DIY director Mike Cuenca and producer Joaquin Dominguez, this non-linear story transforms into an exquisite corpse of cinema—a collaborative collage where horror, black humor, indie romance, and post-punk aesthetics coexist. The film doesn’t just pay homage to its influences; it absorbs and reinterprets them, resulting in a piece that’s as unpredictable as it is entertaining, balancing absurdity with genuine suspense.
directed by: Mike Cuenca

First written review of WATCH THEM COME BLOOD. Minor spoilers.
Learned not to read reviews. If I did, I would have packed it in ages ago. But this might be my favorite of the ones I *have* come across.

One scene in the new @ThatKevinSmith movie struck a chord with me and, god dammit, made my eyes well up.
If it weren’t for my then-introverted ass discovering the Jersey Trilogy in the ‘90s and relating to those movies I never would’ve pushed myself to become a moviemaker.
Meaning my entire (second wind) social life in Los Angeles wouldn’t exist. For reals.
In 2007 I moved back to LA, finally stopped saying I was going to make a movie, and by 2008 I was working on my first feature and its spin-off web series.
—about people like me… for people like me to connect with and feel less alone.
And, no, I’ve never found that audience but through creating those movies I found my people. And I will always be thankful to @thatkevinsmith’s work for that.
I’ve now done 11 feature flicks (if you don’t count that first one ‘cause I never finished it lol), all DIY. All because when I watched and rewatched those Kevin Smith movies I went, man, I wanna make movies like this too—
Trailer for IN THE DITCH, the follow-up to BY THE WAYSIDE and one of seven new features I've completed (well, four are part of a series).
