@NicholasMoreano What did you think? Wife and I walked out about 2/3 through. Just couldn't get into tension between the characters or really like any of them. Felt like it could have really explored something with Emma's backstory and trajectory instead of it just being a prop.
Leavitt confirms the deletion of Energy Sec. Wright's tweet stating the U.S. Navy had escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz:
"I know the post was taken down very quickly and can confirm the Navy HAS NOT escorted a vessel at this time."
ICYMI, because you probably did, somebody placed a massive short on oil right before Energy Secretary Chris Wright posted a Tweet claiming US naval forces had escorted an oil tanker through the Hormuz Strait. Oil dropped $5 a barrel over the next few minutes. The short covered.
8 minutes later, it was revealed Wright's story was a complete fabrication, and he deleted all mention of it on the internet. Oil prices shot back up $5 a barrel.
The mystery short seller made 100 million dollars in 8 minutes.
Anyhow, here's principled conservative Ron DeSantis not giving a shit about that and instead trying to tell people that oil prices are going to collapse because *checks notes* it's only up 63% in the last few trading sessions instead of 91. Because in volatility events, you should always take a victory lap on price before things setttle.
I have emerged from Blogging Retirement. Please see my first post that shall end all arguments about Caleb Williams' completion % for the rest of the off-season. I mean it. Don't make me pull this car over I swear to God.

In a country built on Civic Union, where the good of the American people should prevail above all other ethics, we should invite honesty and openness, especially when political leaders are rightly attempting to seek justice for the safety of our children.
Instead we embrace tribalism, explicitly ignoring the consequences of an absent moral code, and we stand in our tribes with pride and contempt at the other party.
This is not America, nor was it the intention of our founding fathers. You cannot read and understand history and arrive at any other conclusion.
This is a pivotal time for all of us. And while it might feel uncomfortable or you worry it might affect your brand to consider the urgency of it all, I would ask everyone to consider the liberties we’re afforded today and how quickly they could disappear if we continue down this path.
“Right away, if you’re a player or a coach, you’re like, ‘This guy knows his s***,” Sean Payton told me. “I was saying, ‘Hey, I want to invest 100 thousand on Declan’s future.’ If he allows me to buy in at a certain [point], I would do that with him.”

@Coachhill_24 Excellent work, Coach! Been looking for detailed coaching points for routes. Can you please DM me so I can share my email? Thanks for sharing your work with us!
In our competitive society, where it seems that only the strong and winners deserve to live, sport also teaches us how to lose. It forces us, in learning the art of losing, to confront our fragility, our limitations and our imperfections. It is through the experience of these limits that we open our hearts to hope. Athletes who never make mistakes, who never lose, do not exist.
Knowing everything what we know as #Bears fans about the history of this franchise developing QBs & concerns of the previous coaching staff, I’d be a hell of a lot more concerned if this hadn’t been part of Caleb’s thought process journey.
KOC is a far superior playcaller & coach than Waldron. Coach of the Year last season. Amazing with QBs. One of his favorite college WRs was in MIN. Caleb wants to be great & wants to win. Not only win, but win Super Bowls.
It makes a ton of sense he pondered this along the way.
Ultimately though, he chose the path he did to become the face & future of this franchise and we’re very grateful for it.
And in the end, while he had to go through hell last season and we wish he hadn’t, it got us to where we are today with Ben.
Those battle scars from last season, his tenacity & resolve will only propel him forward with a superior coach & playcaller and even more assets invested around him to support his success.
And along the way we learned about Caleb.
How he handled himself last season with high character, professionalism, focus, positivity in the face of dire & heartwrenching losses, and a competitive DNA and drive from the first snap of W1 to the very last game-winning drive at Lambeau. All in spite of monsoon-sized headwinds & in some cases laughably bad support.
The exact DNA you want in a franchise QB. And he led his team accordingly.
Media, analysts & rival fans will drag on Caleb & the #Bears because of this recent, not new news (most was broken a year ago) they are just paying attention to.
But while we wouldn’t have wished the road he had to travel upon him to get him to today, the future trajectory looks bright and will make the journey worth it in the end.
Ben is the perfect HC & playcaller for Caleb.
And while Caleb’s first wish wasn’t to be a Bear, he embodies everything we want & is a throwback Bear in spirit through & through.
And as Ben said, Caleb is proud to be a Chicago Bear. He’s embraced it from Day 1, working to redefine what this franchise means. With the goal of returning it to greatness.
