@BrianMSammons Big advocate of The Empty Man from my first viewing. Works wonderfully on the surface with the Eastern Tulpa folklore but for those who look beneath the surface there are clear Lovecraftian entities to be found.
Love it.
@userbits My wife works at a medical school that trains doc, new and ongoing training for current docs. You might not believe the widespread level of some issues. It's not just a handful.
@userbits It's a tool. A real doctor can use it, not be replaced by it. And having seen my wife go thru diagnosis hell for 13 years because multiple docs didnt see the connections because something wasnt their specialty, i am convinced it would be a great tool.
@userbits No faith in the science fiction of our forefathers eh? I think its going to be great for the medical community in particular. Able to cross reference tons of information and see connections that many doctors just miss flat out. More accurate diagnosis and faster.
@userbits Where was the outcry about taking the jobs of martial art instructors back then, or destroying the bodyguard industry with an influx of people who never worked the profession but now had the skills thru a download and are now competing for work?
@userbits But there are many areas where AI will help. (Medical field is a current one.) People just seem to want it to do menial work for the masses without engaging in an uprising. I think thats as far as most people's vision for it goes. They dont consider the transitional period either
@userbits Fiction often ends up reality. Star Trek flip phones for example. Lol. I grew up playing Cyberpunk and Shadowrun and reading William Gibson. I personally dont have a problem with it. We certainly need to get ahead of the tech with laws and look down the road tho.
@userbits I find it ironic that the generation who dreamed of being like Neo and able to slot a chip / jack in and download a program and learn any skill now has such a problem with AI art.
@JohnLynchBooks I had a really persistent nagging cough once post bronchitis. Lasted for a month after infection was gone. Clear lungs cleared it up. Good luck man!👊
@JohnLynchBooks There's a supplement product called Clear Lungs you can get at stores like Vitamin Shoppe and GNC etc or you can order off of Amazon (dont know whats available to you) but it might be worth a shot. Its not expensive. Worked great for me with bronchitis and other coughing issues.
