@innesmck@philippawarr I did this in a hello kitty theme park once, they looked sad that we couldn’t figure it out, and printed us a “you’re locked in here forever” consolation prize photo instead of the normal one
@ScruffySfm So we had to re-write most of the gameplay code and in particular all of the mission and AI logic was done in C/C++ by the code team instead of Lua by technical designers
@ScruffySfm No Lua in CD2, we ditched it quite early on, no way it was going to work with the peer-to-peer networking model that we switched to. CD1 just passed controller inputs but you can’t do that with more than 2 players really
@GreyAlien Would make it kind of tactile and alive, keep the accuracy and visual features of the other two - but also harder to use for a more casual audience that just wants to tap or click (which is why B is probably better)
@GreyAlien I think B is probably best - but a possible option C would be to enlarge the fan and have the card you are going to select pop out (or space the cards next to it) when you press down, and only select on release so you can slide onto another card if it’s not what you want
I'm broke. I owe the tax service 30k more than I have, and still have no income. I am desperate and need work. Illustration, realistic or stylized, 2D animation and an expert pixel artist tok. I've been a game artist for 15 years. Help? This is undignified

@feralbob Yeah VR works pretty well for these things but it’s outside my scope right now! Give Demeo a try if you haven’t already, it’s basically VR Heroquest, the interface works really well

No public demo at the moment, but I'm working on it.
Just starting to talk about the game openly. More to follow as and when!
Will be looking for publishing or funding opportunities.
@TylerGlaiel I might not be able to tell you exactly what colour it is but often if reds are darker and greens are lighter I can at least tell you are trying to say something and figure it out

@FreyaHolmer It feels to me like having the dot, then a&b, then t might work - the middle controls are less accessible when sandwiched so you might naturally go for the bottom t control first, especially since you have the note at the top suggesting t first
@shrydar@chrislpenner I can’t remember if it was because of PS or Xbox or both but we had double buffered saves back in the 2000s to deal with cert requirements (implemented on all platforms of course), and we had a lot of UI warnings etc on top of that
