The thing about abject hate is that those who cast it often think it belittles the target of their contempt.
But throughout history, there have been pics like these.
We don't look back on them kindly. They become immortalized as examples of a past we no longer will return to.
@GovKathyHochul every time a news organization reaches out for comment, we get a different number for the “made whole” DOH pot of money. Seems like a reasonable way to provide medical services for NY’s most vulnerable patients 🙄🙄.

In March, leaders of community health centers warned 7 News about negative consequences if funding from the 340B program was cut by the state. https://t.co/ObMRxu8QkK
Liza Pereira gets her HIV treatment from @EvergreenHS.
But @GovKathyHochul’s 340B “carveout” means that every month, Evergreen Health loses $1.2 million.
They aren’t alone. We need NY’s lawmakers to demand a better budget that doesn’t defund healthcare.

@GovKathyHochul and her DOH have stripped critical #340B resources from safety net patients across NY, with absolutely no plan to replace it. They went forward with defunding the safety net while it was being negotiated by state legislators in the budget.

Now organizations like @EvergreenHS@housingworks and @AlbanyDamienCtr are facing huge fiscal cliffs with no choice but to cut costs, negatively impacting some of NY’s most vulnerable patient populations - communities of color, LGBTQ+ patients, people living with HIV and refugees
REASON # 9: 42 years of progress in ending the #AIDS epidemic in #NYS is set back at least 20 years due to one man’s gross negligence in defunding #HIV organizations through the Medicaid Carve-out. Learn more: https://t.co/InecrMYJTC #Leave340B
Stay tuned for #10!
Just devastasting. Ralph Yarl’s mother, Cleo Nagbe, says her son is “able to communicate mostly when he feels like it, but mostly he just sits there and stares, and the buckets of tears just rolls down his eyes.” https://t.co/uHR34MEG3d
@GovKathyHochul you have completely defunded LGBTQ+ healthcare across the state of NY. Your promises of supplemental funding have all been completely empty. Your administration has been a disaster for LGBTQ+ patients across the state. Actions>Words 😒

Bigoted extremists are targeting the LGBTQ+ community & stoking fear in our neighbors.
Whether at a bar, in Times Square, or in a classroom, everyone should be able to live without fear of harassment or violence.
I will keep doing everything possible to protect New Yorkers.
@EvergreenHS has had #340B resources ripped away for 18 days now, without any plan at all from @GovKathyHochul or her DOH to fund critical safety net services to NY’s most underserved patients. Every day, underserved patients get less thanks to this discriminatory health policy.
As you well know, @GovKathyHochul went ahead w/ the devasting #340B carve-out, despite the immediate impact it will have on WNY communities and patients in need of #healthcare. Take a look at what we can expect thanks to her. Repeal the “carve-out!” #Leave340B
Standing up for patient populations takes intentional policies that don’t disproportionately impact NY’s most vulnerable patients. We have the receipts, you have defunded the safety net with absolutely no backup plan in place. Our patients deserve better. #leave340b
. @GovKathyHochul standing up for reproductive care is more than providing access to a pill. Patients need to see providers at community health centers for this kind of care, and your administration has defunded them with empty promises. I spoke to @news4buffalo tonight about it.
"You can put any sort of fun and crazy numbers you want on a piece of paper, but if you have no predictable and reliable and transparent way to distribute those funds in a timely manner, it does not matter.”
@GovKathyHochul our patients deserve better.

It’s good to finally see some kind of acknowledgment that the #340B pharmacy carve out has completely defunded safety net organizations, even if the amount is terribly insufficient. Had @GovKathyHochul waited for budget negotiations to play out before implementing…
Source says the extender to keep the government running, which is expected to pass both houses, includes $9M in AIDS drug assistance. This is to offset the impact of the 340-b carveout changes that took effect April 1. With that exception, it’s a straight extender like last week.
This wouldn’t even be a concern right now. But I guess it was critical to rip these resources away from NY’s most vulnerable patients as soon as possible, so now this is where we are with some pieced together budget extender so safety net providers don’t cut critical services.
