The facts are simple: I support @HouseGOP's efforts that will lower premiums and increse healthcare access for Americans while Joe Courtney doesn't. He would rather side with Democrats and continue to fund a broken healthcare system on YOUR dime.
The average family plan costs 50% more than it did in 2014. That's on you, Joe, and your vote for Obamacare.
You and the Democrats broke our healthcare system and created the opportunity for massive fraud, and now you want taxpayers to continue subsidizing it indefinitely? Hiding the cost of your party's failure doesn't lower the cost for Americans who have to foot the bill.
One month into 2026, eastern CT residents are getting hit hard with health insurance premium increases. I spoke with constituents who are now paying over 350% more per month for coverage – or have chosen not to renew their coverage at all because plans were completely unaffordable.
These costs are far more than a monthly mortgage. All of the constituents I spoke with are still dumbfounded that the Senate won’t take up the bipartisan bill that the House passed to extend ACA tax credits for three years and bring these costs down.
Americans deserve to have access to affordable health insurance plans. The House GOP’s healthcare bill fixes a system that Obamacare broke. Republicans are ready to deliver quality, affordable healthcare to Americans and it’s time for Democrats to step up to the plate and play ball.
While Joe Courtney and his fellow Democrats sat on their hands and complained about our healthcare system, the House GOP passed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act in December.
Just another example of why Connecticut can’t count on Joe Courtney.
Tax season is officially underway! Here's what you can expect:
✅ Larger tax refund
✅ No tax on tips or overtime
✅ No tax on social security
✅ Increased Child Care tax credits
You work hard for every dollar, you should keep more of it. Families of Eastern Connecticut can't afford the policies of Joe Courtney and the Democrat party. I'll fight for change, not more of the same!
.@JoeCourtneyCT can spin it however he wants, but the truth is the truth. He voted NO on the One, Big, Beautiful Bill that delivered tax cuts to working families in Connecticut because his loyalty is to the Democrat party and not the residents of eastern CT.
Being elected to Congress shouldn't be a get-rich-quick scheme. I applaud Speaker Johnson and House Republicans for their efforts to stop insider trading.
Every Member of Congress has a duty to help restore the American people’s trust in this institution.
House Republicans are taking a real, positive, tangible step forward with the Stop Insider Trading Act — a serious effort to crack down on abuses.
That’s accountability and transparency in action — and Republicans are delivering.
Over the past 365 days, President Trump and Republicans have: closed and secured our borders, brought peace to Gaza and returned Israeli hostages to their families, reduced crime in major cities run by Democrats, arrested a violent criminal dictator, and put Americans first!
One year ago today, President Trump was sworn in as our 47th president.
Since then, he has worked tirelessly to unleash American energy dominance and make life better for ALL Americans.
Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. King's message is more important today than ever before. Our nation is strongest when we come together, treat one another with dignity and respect, and judge each other by the content of our character—not politics.
Unity doesn’t mean uniformity, but rather remembering that we are all Americans first. 🇺🇸
Apparently @JoeCourtneyCT is living in an alternate universe where there is an American occupation of Venezuela. Earth to Joe - we apprehended a notorious dictator and drug lord - and came home. If you weren’t so blinded by partisanship, you would be congratulating @POTUS instead of lying to your constituents about endless wars and foreign invasions.
President Trump says “only time will tell” how long his Administration will oversee Venezuela. The American people have no appetite for endless occupation. Congress must reassert its war powers authority.
The world is a better and safer place with Maduro in US custody, facing charges of narco-terrorism and conspiracy to import cocaine. He was a notorious dictator who stole the freedom of the Venezuelan people and was also one of the world’s biggest drug dealers, poisoning millions around the world and in the US.
Bravo Zulu to our law enforcement and military personnel who planned and executed the mission, and President Trump for having the courage to authorize it.
Shame on Joe Courtney and others who are trying to minimize this incredible achievement in the name of freedom and justice.
As we ring in the New Year, I’m hopeful and determined about what lies ahead. 2026 will be about restoring commonsense leadership and representation that puts Connecticut families first! Have a safe and happy New Year!
Wake up, Joe! Wind power generation is among the most expensive sources of electricity. CT taxpayers learned that lesson with the over $300 million they paid for State Pier to support Revolution Wind. How does that help rate payers?
The Trump Administration is trying again to stop the Revolution Wind offshore wind, citing vague national security concerns. The national security issue has been already been settled in the courts, in Congress, and most definitively by the Department of Defense just a year ago. Terminating offshore wind production will do nothing but increase electricity costs and eliminate good paying jobs.
Two VA class subs delivered in two months is great news, but both are about three years late, and the program is currently six boats behind schedule. Joe Courtney owns these delays as the former Chair and current Ranking Member of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee.
Today, Groton shipbuilders officially delivered the future USS IDAHO (SSN 799) to the U.S. Navy. This is the second Virginia-class submarine delivered in 2025—proof of the growing momentum for the program thanks to record hiring at the shipyard and huge investments by Congress into the industrial base.
Earlier this year Joe Cortney voted against no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on social security. Now he's voted against lowering healthcare costs.
🚨 UNBELIEVABLE: 210 House Democrats just voted AGAINST:
❌ Improving our healthcare system and putting patients first
❌ Lowering healthcare premiums by 11%
❌ Giving American families more healthcare options and flexibility
❌ Making it easier for small business owners and independent workers to access higher quality, more affordable health plans
❌ Removing hidden costs of prescription drugs
❌ Protecting small businesses from costly overreach
It is refreshing to see an administration that prioritizes our nation's warriors and appreciates their sacrifices—tax-free, too! Thank you, @POTUS and @SecWar!
WARRIOR DIVIDENDS ⚔️🇺🇸
"1,450,000 military service members will receive a special we call Warrior Dividend before Christmas... in honor of our nation's founding in 1776, we are sending every soldier $1,776." - President Donald J. Trump
