@HBerry177 Matt Woods - my favourite player as a kid. Agree with you that the players in that era were much closer to the fan base. Totally different feel to the club in those days.
@HBerry177 I know a few season ticket holders who have stopped going because of the quality of the football. However, the attendances aren't going to improve until we get the pricing right.
@HBerry177 I think John McNamee is probably one of the most under appreciated names in the club's history Harry. Without him I felt sure we would have slipped into the Fourth Division but he seemed to drag the club up by its bootstraps and bring back some much needed respectability.
@HBerry177 Thanks Harry. Your tweet was always the first thing I looked for and always the most interesting thing to read about Rovers. Your tweets have brought back so many happy memories of our club. Hope to see you in the library at some point.
@fredcumpstey@jimwilkz I must be on that photo somewhere as I was sheltering under the Riverside Stand with my Dad. Seems like only yesterday that I watching the mighty 'Don'.
@HBerry177 To be honest Harry I've been fearful that Brown would end up at Ewood at some point. Our situation just seems hopeless on every level from owners downwards.
@jimwilkz Just started reading this Jim. I remember the West Ham games well. As a kid I went down to Ewood for the home game expecting double figures and came home disappointed. Following Rovers and disappointment seem to have gone hand in hand all my life!
