#MNTwins owner Tom Pohlad promised a competitive team in 2026.
He and his family kept the team after promising to sell and after stringing fans along for 10 months.
He brushed off the backlash from unhappy fans.
He pointed to Twins staffers being excited as reason enough for fans to start attending games.
He low-balled free agent pitchers, then wanted credit for making offers, even though the players signed elsewhere for much more.
Nothing he has tried has worked. He's made good on none of his promises.
Different Pohlad, same results.
Now the Twins' big idea for empty seats: the "Home-Field Advantage Program." Give season-ticket holders 15% off next year for games they've already paid for and attended this year - plus 5% more if the team wins.
This is ANYTHING but fan engagement.
It doesn't create new fans, new interest, or address any of the root problems that fans have been very vocal about.
Once again, it's another tone-deaf band-aid from an ownership group that still doesn't understand why the stands are empty and why fans are boycotting the team.
It's now clear as day: the Pohlads are worried. The problems are worse than they expected. And they have no real answers or ideas on how to solve the situation.
Words won't fix this. Neither will puny discounts to fans who already paid and still choose not to show up.
The Pohlads have lost the fanbase.
Sell the team. That will help fill the stands. The sooner, the better.

4 things I’d rather do than be a thunder fan:
1. Play hide and go seek w/ Jeffery Dahmer in an abandoned Chucky Cheese
2. Be a Temu parachute tester
3 Stick my D&@k In a blender
4.Lick a port-o-potty toilet seat at Coachella
Yall are some Losers
This game being framed as some return of a wronged hero RE: Wemby, rather than a guy who was very fortunate he wasn’t suspended after wildly flagrant elbow to an opponent’s throat is just wild to me.
