Anthropic’s Claude reigns atop the iOS App Store, where it dethroned ChatGPT earlier this week.

[Mike Krieger @mikeyk]

Claude is #1 in the App Store today — I want to say a huge thank you to all of our new (and existing!) users for the support. We’re working hard for you, please share your thoughts and feedback along the way.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

Proud to be able to work here. Glad that we have values & principles we uphold.

Introducing Claude Sonnet 4.5—the best coding model in the world.

It's the strongest model for building complex agents. It's the best model at using computers. And it shows substantial gains on tests of reasoning and math.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@LaMarzoccoHome really upset that you started blocking 3rd party APIs. One reason I got my gs3 to begin with was because there was home assistant support. I had integrated it so my grinder turned on when espresso machine turned on. Even recommended your machines to several friend

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

Introducing the next generation: Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4.

Claude Opus 4 is our most powerful model yet, and the world’s best coding model.

Claude Sonnet 4 is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, delivering superior coding and reasoning.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

Another exciting feature I had the pleasure of working with the team on.

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

Research is now available on mobile.

Claude can research across the web and Google Workspace, delivering comprehensive reports complete with citations from hundreds of sources.

PSA: Claude, @calacademy's beloved albino alligator, now has a 24/7 livestream — and it's giving us life. Watch: https://t.co/PgSvwlBSan

The webcam is sponsored by @AnthropicAI — who, fittingly, also has a virtual assistant named Claude. The collab we didn't know we needed. 🐊🤝

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@pixel_poppie @AnthropicAI Thanks for the feedback. Btw as of Monday we worked out a couple last bugs with the camera button and hoping it’s rock solid, so let us know if you experience anything otherwise

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

Sometimes it’s the little features that bring me a lot of joy. Recently added this little gem to our Claude iOS app to be able to quickly capture and analyze photos. Just a quick tap from your Lock Screen or Control Center.
Whether you want to identify a plant, translate a sign, or transcribe whiteboard notes it’s pretty convenient to have at your fingertips.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

I like the big features too :). Search is available in feature preview in the US across all paid plans on our iOS and Android apps (and web ofc)

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

Claude can now search the web.

Each response includes inline citations, so you can also verify the sources.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@pixel_poppie could you try 1.250317.1? (just shipped this morning). Found a nasty bug, but also I think there may be a bug with the framework that makes it not work 100% of the time still 😭. Slightly embarrassed it's in this state, but will hopefully find a workaround/fix soon.

If you're still having issues, I recommend trying out our regular widget which is almost as useful, but can't have it on your lock button or control center (it is, however, still a convenient way to open the camera)

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@pixel_poppie Hmm there may be a bug if it doesn’t show in the chat. Tested this about but will dig a little deeper. I think you followed all the right steps.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@pixel_poppie Yep! Just released it a few hours ago in version 1.250317.0. Probably have to manually update since its fresh off the press

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

A few researchers at Anthropic have, over the past year, had a part-time obsession with a peculiar problem.

Can Claude play Pokémon?

A thread:

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

Really excited about Claude 3.7 Sonnet and its thinking mode. Our mobile apps support it too :)

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

Introducing Claude 3.7 Sonnet: our most intelligent model to date. It's a hybrid reasoning model, producing near-instant responses or extended, step-by-step thinking.

One model, two ways to think.

We’re also releasing an agentic coding tool: Claude Code.

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

@spaceemotion @leesimin Thanks for flagging that! We'll try to get a fix in soon

[Mike Lewis @MikeLewis]

We added a lovely Claude widget and a couple other nice improvements in today’s iOS release. Shoutout to @leesimin for widget design.
