@Geiger_Capital Not sure if that’s worse than fighting the bond market with the military but it’s pretty clear nobody is at the wheel of the US government.
@Brad604@MurphTWN@weathernetwork@KMacTWN Ooh jeopardy didn’t realize that was the game. You mentioned we can just adapt to climate change and I said it should be great. What point did I miss?
I don't think a 10% correction is coming and everything I'm seeing continues to point to SPX 9000 by Q2 next year. There are some interesting signals developing that could point to several years of a slow upward grinding bull market for the next few years without any 10% corrections but I guess we will see.
@Adam_Stirling I mean you don't even need humans to catch the problem anymore, a $30 subscription to Claude or Chat GPT could have figured it out for them. Its just carelessness and looks like they just don't care how much of our money they're burning
This is obviously fitting in the ODTE era but when you expand it further some additional filters would be required. A VIX below 15 and a 1.5% gain from the close of the 21st day over the next 42 sessions. That gives it a minimum target of 5.7% and median of 15.5%.
Worth noting the previous VIX under 17 for 12 straight days could fire with the same return by Wednesday now. https://t.co/rgtbbB6KMi
@OddStats Interesting note on this. If the S&P falls 2% or more and the vix stays below 17 for 12 straight days and rallies to a new high in the next 7 trading days the forward returns are very good.
Median 12 month max gains are 16.6%
Median drawdown is -2.9%
💥Hamilton Police hung up when asked who ordered them to keep the Dominion Society out of the city.
According to Inspector Darren Murphy, police are only non-partisan “based on context.”
The context, as he framed it, is this: Hamilton Police have decided to police feelings. Their objective is to keep The Dominion Society — a non-criminal organization — out of the city because they disagree with DSC's political views.
When we asked who made that decision, Inspector Murphy said it was a group decision.
When we pressed him on whether those were orders passed down the chain of command, he refused to answer.
Then he hung up the phone.
That is not public safety. That is political policing.
A police service that hunts venues, warns businesses, and treats lawful speech as a community threat has become an activist organization.
Many of you seem to miss the point it’s not that their views are vile. The police shouldn’t be selectively deciding who should be allowed to organize lawfully and neither should x commentators. Leads me to believe we don’t deserve a free society when most of you don’t understand what that entail’s.
@rupasubramanya@DominionSoc It’s beyond the pale for police to decide who is worthy of gathering at a convention or not. That’s a slippery slope that’s unlikely to be applied if say an Islamic group wanted to meet to discuss taking over the country and implementing sharia law.
@iamrobinskies Ya this is beyond ridiculous at this point. I’m as conservative as they come but there’s no way I’m donating to this and not sure voting for them is even an option now. How the hell does everyone else they have to win over in an election feel that isn’t already on the right.
@CDInewsletter The average retirement savings is only $250k for those approaching retirement? That seems down right lousy and will become a serious problem if life expectancy extends materially.
