First solo! Thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point!
Including (but not limited to):
@maz_jovanovich@markjonesjr@David_Kern
And way more…
Plus, I shared this day with another momentus event: JFK’s moon speech at @RiceUniversity
Sad to report that Ed Stone, the Voyager Project Scientist & the gr8est Proj Sci ever to live, died 2 days ago.
Voyager was a class act & the pinnacle in spaceflight it became because of him. https://t.co/rRsTooL4om
It was a pleasure to fly w/ you, Ed 🫡
You will be remembered.
That’s real progress in society and your industry. This isn’t the booz bus back from the pub. This is a flight full of passengers who just want a smooth flight home.
It’s a bad image by the few attendees from the @MaritimeUnionAU conference who were far too careless and intoxicated on @Qantas flights back from Adelaide. I’m talking passing out on passengers, including one guy leaning on a random lady who was clearly uncomfortable…
For most of the flight, and laughed and egged on my their mates.
The comments after my flight landed were “I don’t care if they post me on Instagram”, “I’m not ashamed of anything”… that degree of shamelessness and not a single apology… wow!
January 30, 1967, "From this day forward, flight control will be known by two words - Tough and Competent"
"We are forever accountable for what we do or what we fail to do" -Gene Kranz,
The Kranz Dictum. to mission controllers after the #Apollo1 fire.

Today is NASA’s Day of Remembrance. Located on our museum grounds is this memorial, dedicated to all those who sacrificed their lives in the name of space exploration.
We remember you all today.
Worse still is the sad group of individuals who have nothing better to do than spread flight data of a fatal accident and “try to identify” the pilot. Shame on you also.
This line from the film First Man regarding the death of Test Pilot and Astronaut Elliot See is attributed to Neil: “I didn’t investigate the crash. I didn’t study the flight trajectory. And I wasn’t the one flying the plane. So I wouldn’t pretend to know anything.”
Despite there being some respectable journalists out there, I am grossly disheartened at @7NewsSydney for their appalling ignorance and coverage of this recent accident, epitomising an unbelievably unprofessional approach to news.
What an incredible night with @paramore — the best concert in the best city!
I’m not ashamed to admit that hearing this song in particular brought some tears to my eyes. I can recall many a night when the only thing that got me to sleep was the soothing voice of Hayley Williams.
