Imprisoned fathers at Angola Prison spend Father's Day outside of prison with their sons, thanks to Christian organization 'God Behind Bars.'
For some fathers, it was the first time they had ever spent a whole day with their sons.
62 boys got to fish, play sports, and BBQ with their dads, many for the first time.
"Each dad wrote his son a personal letter and handed him a Bible to take home. Words of love, apology, hope, faith, and legacy were shared face to face..." the organization said.
Awesome.
A member of Reformation Church submitted this video to his employer’s “What PRIDE means to me” campaign. Corporate wanted public clips to signal support for LGBTQ. After his submission, the whole program vanished. Videos pulled. Prizes canceled. No reply.
That is Christian witness. Christ is King!
@albertmohler Brother to brother...would be best to talk to an Arminian rather than portray all of them believe God is incompetent and the age old accusation of salvation by works. #ReformedArminian = #ClassicalArminian Read #DrPicirilli book Grace, Faith and Free Will https://t.co/sA4Sd7qJG2
Septillions of snowflakes fall annually around the world, most of which are never seen by a single creature. Each snowflake is unique. Each one proclaims the majesty of their Creator.
Greek linguistic fact: The New Testament uses a single Greek term—brephos—to refer to both an unborn child and a newborn infant. Scripture does not treat life in the womb as a different category of humanity than life outside it. When Mary greets Elizabeth, “the brephos leaped in her womb” (Luke 1:41), and when Christ is born, the shepherds are told they will find “the brephos wrapped in swaddling cloths” (Luke 2:12). The same word covers both moments.
In God’s eyes, ontologlically, the child hidden in the womb and the child held in a mother’s arms bear the same dignity. Biologically, the unborn child is alive and genetically distinct, yet simply in a less developed state than the born child. Theologically, both are His creation, made in His image. Ethically, human life is worthy of safeguarding because of these truths. Scripture and nature speak with one voice.
The biblical witness does not fragment human worth by stage of development; it affirms one continuous, God-given life that is in a constant state of development.
This 8-minute clip from Diary of a CEO is quietly devastating.
Dr. Annette Bosworth brings a simple $60-70 dual glucose/ketone meter on set and tests everyone live, first thing in the morning.
The numbers don’t lie:
Dr. Boz (stops eating at 3pm, long-term ketogenic):
Glucose: 83 mg/dL
Ketones: 1.7 mmol/L
Dr. Boz Ratio ≈ 49 → deep fat-burning state
Steven Bartlett (ate late the night before):
Glucose: 86 mg/dL
Ketones: 0.9 mmol/L
Ratio ≈ 95 → still good, but noticeably behind Dr. Boz
Jack (lean, high-volume runner on the team):
Glucose: 88 mg/dL
Ketones: 0.1 mmol/L
Ratio ≈ 880
Dr. Boz: “That’s trash being made and never taken out. Welcome to my clinic in 10 years.”
Key revelations in just 8:52:
- Late-night eating destroys next-morning ketones, even for someone in their 30s
- Sunrise cortisol releases stored glucose every single day, like an automatic unpaid meal
- Dr. Boz’s twenty-something sons now voluntarily stay in ketosis for sustained focus at law school
- Most “fit” high-carb endurance athletes she tests sit at 0.1-0.3 ketones and don’t realize the long-term cost
You can buy the exact same meter and strips and know your own numbers tomorrow morning.
This short segment is one of the clearest metabolic reality checks I’ve ever seen.
Who’s checking their ketones this week after watching this?
