@l_carnahan@Pat_Weiler@SixersAndrew We let them go because we had cheap and capable players to replace them. We don’t have that luxury in the secondary. They’ll both be signed
@Pat_Weiler I am guessing the logic is that Schwarber and Harper get on base a lot and Arraez puts the ball in play a lot, so hopefully they will score a lot of runs ( I think Arraez should bat lead off)
@l_carnahan@EricLDaugh I don’t know this guy, but I took it at least partially as “thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the victims” isn’t enough
@SpikeEskin I too would like Dave to pay up for someone awesome. The Mets moved their 10th and 12th prospect however. I wouldn’t call that a high price
@l_carnahan@EndGameWW3 I can’t read the full article but I don’t see how you or anyone could just assume that it means nothing. I’m not saying 100% means something, but I don’t think it’s fair to say it means nothing either
@JohnStolnis It’s an interesting debate because it emphasizes the line of where talent meets production. Herbert is more talented but doesn’t have the production. One argument is the team/coach etc. There are other factors like having the tangibles/being clutch where Hurts is better than most
@l_carnahan@Barrelldelphia I think both things are true. Dave has done a good job overall, especially with improving our drafting and developing. His in season acquisitions have left a lot to be desired however. Time will tell if he’s able and willing to make the necessary changes rest of the way
@l_carnahan@thomasrp93 Howie drafting a safety first round may complete the final level of “things Howie never does, but is doing now”. Started with drafting sec players, then giving an RB a big contract and then signed a LB to a big contract
