🗣"I didn’t want to bring this out publicly, but the message I received from Thomas Tuchel about my decision not to return for international duty has left me surprised.

My club sent a clear medical report confirming I wasn’t fit to play, and he also spoke directly with my coaches. Everything appeared to be settled. So why follow that up with a text saying I should forget about ever featuring for England again unless he’s no longer the coach?

I’m putting this on record simply because I rarely speak on social media. I love representing my country at any level and always will. I just don’t want anyone painting a false picture of me. I’ll stay focused and continue enjoying my football, no matter what."
