@FivePointsVids I feel like this is an argument for it not being the hardest… lol I actually think it is one of the hardest, but saying any dude can play basically is not a good way to prove it
There's been a lot of chatter about the number of international players hurting college tennis, or making the program "easier" to cut.
Talk to Auburn's and you'll find that any campus could use more kids like them — not less.
New column:
Today, ESPN2 is airing seven straight hours of the NCAA beach volleyball championship.
Beach Volleyball became an NCAA sport in 2016 and plays five simultaneous courts.
So why is college tennis not on TV?
NCAA tennis sport admin here.
I'm bullish on college tennis.
Views on our match streams are up 97% year over year for men's and 51% for women's.
Views on our schedule pages up 58% men, 116% women.
Social impressions up 67% men and 59% for women.
Interest is growing.
Marta Giglio and Hana Abdelhamid earned First Team All-Big Sky doubles honors, with Giglio also picking up a second team singles nod. #GoViks

@Tsmith47@PatrickMcEnroe I don’t have the exact figures, and I’m sure it’s a lot more, but tennis has of course become an increasingly global sport. The solutions are not simple for many programs. I’m sure most programs would love to recruit more Americans if they could. Would love to chat more offline
@Tsmith47@PatrickMcEnroe Whether you use internationals or not or NEED to to sustain your program is very dependent on the situation, but it would be great to hear more about the men’s and women’s programs at the top that have lots of American players (UCLA, North Carolina, USC, Georgia , etc).
@Tsmith47@PatrickMcEnroe I just started here in January. And signed an American immediately. Secondly, no that is not my argument. I said there are many schools that have heavily American rosters and those should be highlighted as well. I just want the reporting to be balanced. That’s all
