FY 23 presented numerous socio-economic challenges, and we responded with significant interventions.

Earlier today, we presented our 12th Sustainability report, showcasing our commitment to create opportunities to transform lives and contribute to sustainable livelihoods across Kenya. The report highlights the growth in economic impact created through Safaricom’s capital and operational expenditures during the period under review, titled 'Pathway to a Purpose-Led Technology Company.’

We are currently in the process of establishing ESG structures and policies within our Ethiopia business. In the next report, we will showcase Safaricom Group’s sustainability efforts and milestones.

Since 2012, we have diligently documented our sustainability journey as part of our commitment to accountability. We share our successes, challenges, and constraints in a public, transparent, and open manner.
To ensure the credibility of our sustainability report, we engage reputable third-party auditors to independently verify the data, providing an unbiased assessment of our business performance.
