What made him special wasn’t the championship — it was the standard. The way he could turn doubt into fuel. The way he could make a walk‑on feel like an All‑American. The way he could take a program, a locker room, or a single kid having a bad day and remind them that greatness is a choice.

Lou Holtz leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind a blueprint: work hard, laugh often, tell the truth, and never apologize for expecting the best from yourself and the people you lead.
