Unfortunately the rumors about maine are true. You can buy local stone fruit and sourdough baguettes next to the classical Pilates studio for what could only be described as a normal price. It brings me no pleasure to say this, but afterwards, u can walk to the ocean.
the problem w neolib economists w their inflated egos is that due to their aversion to marx they end up just writing what he'd alr written before. due to neoliberal individualist ego we're stuck in the same place 100+ years ago instead of developing. its anti-intellectualism
In contemporary critical theory, a popular refrain suggests that every scroll, click, and like we perform on social media constitutes “unpaid digital labor” that directly produces value for tech giants. Best, however, uses the rigorous framework of Capital III to dismantle this++
I just finished S. A. Cosby’s latest novel, “The King of Ashes.” This one is absolutely insane. Absolutely phenomenal. It’s where noir and violence reach their breaking point. There is no justice. There is no evil. Everything burns. Everything turns to ash. I’ve been reading Cosby’s work ever since his debut, but now he’s surpassed even Lehane by a mile. There isn’t anyone above him or below him. He’s simply in a league of his own. For the sake of family, his characters won’t hesitate to commit crimes or even murder. This time, however, the protagonist isn’t a hard-hitting bruiser. He’s the CEO of an investment firm, a businessman who fights with his brain. The hands-on work is handled by his partner, a former soldier. The dynamic immediately brought to mind Joe and Nate from C. J. Box’s Joe Pickett series. Cosby is also remarkably well-versed in Japanese pop culture, so references to Ninja Scroll and Cowboy Bebop make for a lot of fun as well. In short, I can’t recommend this highly enough! Just be warned: this is hardboiled fiction of an almost otherworldly darkness. It may very well reduce your sense of reason to ashes.
Weird how people complain about DE being a constantly brought up in discussions of well written games in the community, and simply just do not give any other examples of other well written games.
Or worse, they give an example of a game directly inspired by DE
I don’t think anyone actually believes that ICE is murdering people in the streets and denying due process because of “poor training.”
This “state-sanctioned violence” is by design.
What could go wrong? /s 🕳️
