@DunderMoose@BrownWizard CBT is not meant to be played until everything is destroyed; it is built on the assumption you will retreat from a losing fight to save your mecha bc you're running a mercenary outfit on a campaign.
Something to think about
Deleted one of my posts, won’t be laughed at or abused by people who completely missed the point of what I was saying.
The Odyssey is fiction. It has gods and a cyclops. So demanding it be historically accurate to the last detail is genuinely ridiculous.
Fortunately Chris Nolan gets this.
"Another way to look at it is that the conventional table arrangement actually creates the problems people see with Roleplaying and Wargames by it’s design as a social technology."
Social tech is a great way to think about the sea change.
@LL_929 That is a player can figure it out with time but, unless he's had the opportunity to burn the staff down to 0 charges, he wouldn't know if he wasn't told
But that's RAWtistic and I don't have the energy for it. Props to Bdubs for tracking the charges on all his magic items
If I see one more LOSER say they can't find an IRL group bc they want to play their hyperfixated idea of D&D but they WON'T play it online
Just admit you're only interested in complaining about D&D
This is a "serious" game; that is players who want to engage in silly "kill everyone because it's the last turn" stuff should not apply.
If you love winning and you love America, message me for an invite.
Should debate not suffice, a gentleman may demand a duel.
In the interest of historicity (and time), I have replaced the EG dueling system with a simpler version for shooting it out.
