I’ve filmed events three times where Kevin has spoken about his experiences working as part of the Covid task force. Each time I always had a feeling he was holding back whenever he was asked questions about NHS staff trauma trauma.
Now I know why. This is utterly devastating.
Prof @Kevin_Fong giving the most devastating and moving testimony to the Covid Inquiry of visiting hospital intensive care units at the height of the second wave in late Dec 2020.
The unimaginable scale of death, the trauma, the loss of hope.
Please watch this 2min clip.
@lewis_goodall Lewis. They are bots at best, paid political mouthpieces at worst. Why are you engaging with them? Leave this hellsite to them and enjoy London in the real world with the rest of us.
@realrobdurden @kferrDC Why are you lying? BlackRock barely owns anything - they are fiduciaries for other peoples money. If they invest in Blackstone portfolios that’s because they invest in ABSOLUTELY FUCKING EVERYTHING THAT MAKES MONEY. Pls do your research 🤦🏻♂️
@char_muwfc718 Like everything else in this online cesspit, they are mostly bots. Chloe is the closest to anything unifying the whole of England right now 😂😂
He's one of Britain's richest men. So why does Asif Aziz's property company keep leasing London gift shops to overseas students based in abandoned offices or flytipped car parks — before vanishing without paying millions of pounds in taxes? https://t.co/YTFTu2Zpcz
@lololeereverie That’s very nicely put. I agree with you, and can’t help thinking that a culture that rewards cheap internet point scoring and binary thought is not going to value honour or compassion. Sad times indeed…
@caitoz@darkshineess I think there are many excuses for not dedicating your time and energy into a wildly complex situation that, in all honesty, you can do very little about.
People have lives to live. That is neither complicity nor apologia. To think otherwise is quite odd.
@PaulEmbery What I’m interested in is how, under an explicitly anti-immigration Tory government, there were years when it was around 1m per year. They let it happen? To make immigration more of a political issue?? Something is odd here.
