@Mike_M_Klotz As a Mopar first guy, Durango GT or RT with the 5.7 and tow and go package plus a used 2026 4 door Charger R/T is all you need… not sure your wife would approve of either. I wish more Chargers got sold the used market is small but they’re sitting on lots.
@Mike_M_Klotz You don’t get the ZF 8 speed but the NAG1 is ok. Jumping from a 2006 RT to my 2019 was huge jump but you’ll have the eagle headed Hemi. Don’t be afraid of RWD if you want the 8 speed and are willing to g to change for winter rubber.
@Mike_M_Klotz What they need is a Pentastar base model SXT and the R/T gets the SO Hurricane and a no cost option 5.7, same thing with Scat Pack a no cost 6.4 option. Would increase sales and open fleet and police sales. Right now these are so expensive and people want a V8.
@Mike_M_Klotz Really the car isn’t bad it’s just not optimized for gas or EV. Yes the EV has been a disaster but the gas version seems fine. I’ve driven a V8 Charger as a daily for 15 years and yes I love the V8 but I’d consider a used 420 HP Sixpack when the time comes.
@Xmbluee@grok Bad sample picture as the Charger rear suspension is largely based on w210 and w211 Mercedes E Class suspensions and the front is similar to the W220 S Class. Not exact copy but generally close.
@humbleblazer Very true but it is amazing what you can get PQ wise for $1,000 these days. I had a 200 pound Sony 34XBR910 I had to pay break even “selling” it and was $2,000 new. Still have a Panasonic plasma 58v10 from 2009 that looks great and heats my Living Room…
It was time to swap the winter wheel/tire set in favor of the OEM set. Can’t help but notice the corrosion with the fancy name @MikeGroppX posted about prior! I’m looking for a tire recommendation 245/45/20 summer tire is Conti ExtremeContact Sport 02 best bang for buck?
@humbleblazer You could get the Hemi in a 300S it was just rarely ordered that way. Pentastar is solid, I really like my 2019 Charger R/T had a 2006 before it. 2011-14 is nice but the 8-speed makes a huge difference from the Nag1 5 speed. I’d love the final 300C with the 6.4 …
@pmtiegs One thing to consider, are you replacing an older 80% furnace? If so you won’t need as many BTUs going to 96%. Most places are lazy and don’t do any load calculations and just spec like for like. I think attic install is huge labor up charge.
@Mike_M_Klotz I will reserve judgment until I can hear in person. I’m not happy they appear to have kept the active exhaust off the standard output Hurricane. For 2017+ all V8 cars had the same active exhaust and it is glorious. I think the High Ouput sounds better but they both should!
@Mike_M_Klotz I agree with you I’d like to see another $4-5k off the R/T and I think that will be the real world spread. Same was true for the 2015-2023 models. I think exhaust is same regardless especially with performance pack. The Scat gets larger wheels on their performance pack.
