Xavier Lendof, former Delta Force operator, Green Beret, and Marine Scout Sniper, a man with one of the most unusual and complete resumes you'll come across in special operations.

His story starts a long way from any battlefield. He grew up between New York City and the Dominican Republic, and enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17. From that starting point he built a career that touched three different elite military communities.

The path he walked is remarkable for how much ground it covers. He fought his way from infantry Marine into Light Armored Reconnaissance, then through the selection pipeline into Marine Force Reconnaissance. He deployed to Iraq and saw the bigger special operations picture up close.

Wanting more, he leveraged the National Guard route into the Army's Special Forces Qualification Course, earning his Green Beret and serving on an ODA, including counter-drug work.

Then, already in his mid-30s, when most men would have rested on an accomplished career, he went and did the hardest thing left, passing Delta Force selection to reach the very top.

He's been candid about that final chapter, the imposter syndrome of walking among men who make the impossible look easy, and the brutal, unrelenting standard of the Unit. He summed Delta up as taking imperfect people, asking them to do an imperfect job, and demanding it be done perfectly, on demand, whenever that demand comes.

Over a 20 year career across two branches he deployed to more than 20 nations, and he closed it out by becoming a world class sniper instructor, teaching multinational special operations sniper teams across Europe.

From Bronx kid to Marine, then Green Beret to Delta, Lendof earned every inch of it the hard way.
