@Theresa4Talent As I understand it( and I stand to be corrected if I have this wrong ) that Parliament agreed no vetting is required for PCCs or their deputy.
They are subject to the Official Secrets Act.
The vetting decision seems strange given the potential information they have access to.
If the actions of a political PCC candidate eventually result in a re election process then why should the taxpayer be responsible for paying the re-election costs which could be many hundreds of thousands of pounds ? This should fall to the political party responsible .
Seed was the favourite to win in Wilts, so assuming there has to be another election, the Conservatives will hopefully be paying?
It costs roughly £1m

Ready to deliver boxes of tea bags and sugar to Devizes Open Doors project for the homeless this morning. Thanks to Malmesbury Victoria FC for the donation.
I’m pleased that we could deliver more bags of warm clothing to the Open Doors (Devizes)support group, for the homeless and vulnerable adults today . Thanks to the coaches and boxers at Malmesbury Boxing Gym and all those who donated ....🙂
This is true leadership.
You’ve just worked hard and led your team to a win against all the odds, but you’re still going to help the ground staff tidy up the pitch...
Total respect Alun Wyn Jones

Thanks to podcaster David Watson for inviting me onto his programme for a very informal chat about the forthcoming election , boxing and other matters.
Last night I delivered items of food, clothing and bedding to Angie ( both of us pictured) at Open Doors homes less centre in Devizes. At Malmesbury boxing club we’d appealed for donations. Great to meet Angie and the team. #helphomeless#opendoors
A political PCC has not benefited Wiltshire. Steve Fulcher and I feel change is needed. The people of Wiltshire hold the key to a better chance of change ... a non- political PCC #wiltspcc#createchange#policingnotpolitics
