@Oxford_Life@robprogressive So how would you determine which products you sell without VAT and which you sell with VAT? VAT is simply collected by a business and passed on to the government. Some business owners treat it as though it is part of their income and get into trouble
@AmmoniteElectr1@robprogressive If you register for VAT you can claim back all of the VAT on those costs as well as subtracting the total costs from your balance sheet
@hellsmorefun@robprogressive The business can claim any VAT it pays as a tax rebate. It's much better to register for VAT and claim back all of your expenses like petrol, home office, tools, etc,etc,etc.
@robprogressive VAT has nothing to do with a small business profit. A business collects VAT for the government and then hands it over to them. If a business spends the VAT it collects on anything else instead of just giving it to the government then they're idiots.
@David_McMahon75 They are investing in shares to make money. They are deriving income which is subject to income tax. That income is taxed at a personal marginal rate which in this case will be nowhere near 30%. Why should someone be taxed on income from hard work but not other income?
@iowahawkblog The average American doesn't even know what a cm is. I mean it's the 21st century. 10mm = 1cm. 100cm = 1m. 1,000m = 1 km. (easy) But no, there's 12 inches to a foot, so 12 feet to a yard?? Nope, 3 feet to a yard. So how many yards to a mile? Fuck knows.
@iowahawkblog Yeah, the let's call the freezing point of water 0 degrees and the boiling point 100 degrees. Makes sense yes? No No, the freezing point must be 32 degrees and the boiling point 212 degrees, much easier..... yea....nah
@JamesTate121 It's not a good point at all. He's suggesting that only vulnerable minorities are opposed to fascism whereas in reality the vast majority of people are opposed to fascism.
@GMidtbo@stats_feed I think you left New Zealand out of your pie chart? Rocket Labs has had many successful launches since first putting a satellite into space from New Zealand in 2017/18
@attic_hatch@MickWest The camera in the video is moving (in a plane or drone or whatever.) So if I'm traveling in a car and I stick my arm out the window and follow my finger, my finger is moving too, not just hovering stationary.
