Apparently they sold a gigantic part of their computing power to Anthropic, a rival, in a move that was worth over $1 billion monthly.

Paying $40/month for SuperGrok and I’m constantly throttled with “heavy usage” after just a few generations. Failed & moderated attempts still count against my limit. Then I get pushed to upgrade to a plan that costs 10x more.
This isn’t premium service in any way.
