Great to be at the SunTrax Testing Grounds in Auburndale today to highlight Floridaโs leadership in the future of transportation. By the end of this year, Florida will be actively testing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. SunTrax Air Ground is actively testing and supporting the deployment of autonomous and connected vehicles.
I was also proud to announce that @MyFDOT is partnering with @EmbryRiddle and @PolkState to help Florida students prepare for exciting career opportunities in the next generation of transportation. These workforce education partnerships support training and credentialing for politics, engineers, technicians, and other highly skilled careers.
@NickGibbsIAG Hey Nick, did you catch our governor today embracing autonomous vehicles on the roads and in the air?
Love the free state of Florida.
DeSantis also spoke about self-driving safety and elimination of human error while driving.
Gov. DeSantis today embracing autonomous vehicles in FL -- including in the air. He spoke a lot about the safety and elimination of human error.
Love the free state of FL.
@tesla_na Would love to switch to Tesla insurance but it's not available let FL drivers (only brand new sales at time or purchase eligible to get Tesla insurance). Waiting...
@AdamKoffler Bro, a $700k is a luxury home (my reference is Ohio and Florida). There are plenty of nice homes in the $200k to $350k range. $700k+ home is foolish. Ramsey's advice is solid. No value in life to be house-poor.
@WilliamShatner You missed all the time savings charging at home. Need to consider all those 0 minutes spent charging while we sleep.
Having a fully charged car with no stops is priceless.
Days driving over 300 miles are rare. When I do big mileage days I embrace the charging stop break.
@GerberKawasaki I agree humans want their own vehicle (not plural). However I foresee a future where families own just a single vehicle and use CyberCab to fill the need to own two cars. Very soon there will be little reason to be a multi-vehicle family.
@SenAshleyMoody I agreed and look forward to locking the clock.
Must say politicians share this same post every 6 months and nothing changes.
See ya again in 6-months for the biannual lock the clock message.
@SageCanaday I would be thrilled to see you come out to race a local 5k. That would be an epic experience to see an inspiring pro do his thing in real life.
Let me know when youโre in Southwest Florida. Hah
@lynssss3125 Your running heart rate is too high. Poor running economy is my guess. You should run "light & easy" with avg. cadence ~ 170 to 180. Inefficiency is making running too hard.
Your best solution is working on running efficiency. ChiRunning (Danny Dreyer) is a great resource.
