@Samaytwt Left Windows 10 as soon as I could go to 11. 10 was just a Windows 8.1 with a start menu reduced from full screen to “regular”. I miss the live tiles, but that’s it.

@mikeydsoftware @Samaytwt They did. They were one of the first adopters and promoters of CSS, for example. We had a while SiteBuilder program they build for developers with tons of free resources. IMHO, later on, so many websites “sniffed” the browser and assumed IE couldn’t go things, but could.

@riish_me @md_kasif_uddin Depends. There are PCs that beat Mac battery life nowadays. Mine goes for nearly a day. There are ARM chip devices now. Old Intel, yeah that eats battery.

@MichaelCipherX @_Jedec @kaaaash____ For me personally, no. And for the older x86 style apps, it’s basically emulation. But you can’t even tell the difference (and I use some heavy apps and some old ones also). Everything has worked for me. I also like the longer battery life with the snapdragon (arm) chip.

@MichaelCipherX @_Jedec @kaaaash____ I’m on my third Surface, and all have run just fine. I have one of the new Copilot+ “ARM” chip pros and it works just the same as an Intel chip. I’m even running 20+ year old app on it. Any hardware can have issues. A Mac I had years ago had tons of issues.

@mishko27 @ScottArbeit Factor in your job (IT) likely locks down your Windows. It’s not typically what a consumer uses. If you hit Start (on your keyboard) and start typing you’ll often find what you want. It’s kinda our version of spotlight. But PowerToys by MS has a similar Spotliit feature.

@zacbowden Agree. I’m used a Surface Pro on Arm. Works great. And I’m using some software that dates back to 1999! I even had the first ARM, Surface 2 ;)

@zacbowden The got rid of Messenger as well on Windows which used all the time.
