Root problem is that the THECB removed journalism classes that could transfer to 4-yr colleges. Why can't UTSA, SAC, & local SA news media design a program that allows J students to start at SAC & finish their degrees at UTSA while working at the Ranger, KSYM, & local news orgs?
UTSA & others are working to transform classroom learning into relevant project-based learning experiences that connect knowledge to valuable skills and degrees to careers. SAC's been doing this for 95yrs w/ the Ranger & journalism. Sad to learn it may end.
@JessElizarraras SA Metro area was ranked 24th in pop among US Metro's in 2020. You are referring to 7th largest city, which is a misleading categorization. City govts have different policies & constraints in defining their boundaries. For example, the city rank suggests Dallas is smaller than SA
