After hearing the concerns from our community the @NYSDOT has announced that the Korean War Vererans Parkway project has been delayed to after Labor Day
KUDOS Mike Reilly voting -vs- more NYS Tyranny Bakers brace for change as N.Y. flour ban threatens iconic bagels, pizza - Assemblyman Michael Reilly voted against the measure. @mikewreilly@Jgilliam_seal@davidwebbshow https://t.co/JFrIepYgni
Today I had the opportunity to shake hands with @MikeWReilly at Lobby Day in Albany. I shared how important it is to secure funding for UFT Teacher Centers across NYC, which support educators with the professional learning and resources we need to better serve our students. @UFT
Enough is enough — it’s time for accountability. Last year, my bill to fix New York’s #RaiseTheAge law — which currently lets 16- and 17-year-olds caught with loaded firearms avoid meaningful consequences by going to Family Court —
was blocked by Albany Democrats. This loophole is driving a rise in teen gun possession and putting our communities at risk.
I’m continuing to fight for common-sense reforms that ensure these young offenders face real consequences and that our families and neighborhoods are protected.
Watch the discussion when the Albany Majority stopped the legislation from moving (starts at 3:40 minute mark) ⬇️

As many people are enjoying the holiday, we are continuing to monitor and prepare for the upcoming snow.
Whatever comes our way, we are ready. Please follow your normal collection schedule, but know delays are possible after holidays, and before, during and after snow operations.
Stay safe and warm, NYC.
I appreciate @GovKathyHochul’s decision to veto the Keep Police Radio Public Act, recognizing the need to balance transparency with public safety and officer safety.
Glad to stand behind NYS Assemblyman @MikeWReilly as he seeks re-election to the state legislature! His service to the 62nd Assembly District has been invaluable, and I’m confident that he’ll continue delivering meaningful results for our community. 🦅🗽
#ICYMI I’ve introduced the Toll Payer Advocacy and Relief Act, A9070 (https://t.co/soe0kB4OwO), to cap toll violations at 10% of the toll cost, enhance toll payer advocacy services at the @PANYNJ and @MTA, and put an end to toll payer abuse.

He thought he was keeping up with E-ZPass. Then a notice said he owed thousands. He says the bills went to an old address. The MTA says he evaded tolls & ignored notices.
Tomorrow: part 2 of “Driven Into Debt.” How small debts explode and why many say the warning never came.
@JohnDMacari@TheFinestCast .@JohnDMacari in my opinion the NYS Supreme Court victory by Judge Blum and BP Fossella. Island-wide seats is a more accurate measure. Additionally, two Council Seats stayed Rs. NS Council seat stayed D. Civil Court seat was created by State Dems set up to favor their enrollment.
What a pleasure it was to spend the evening with Catholic Charities of SI at the Annual Father Drumgoole Dinner & Awards Ceremony. The positive impact this organization, and all of the distinguished honorees, have had across Staten Island is nothing short of remarkable!
